I keep a little flashlight in my purse for just such an event. It's about the same size as a cigarette lighter and is purple and just the perfect size for reading. I think I paid $3 for it at Walgreen's. And I have to admit that I have gotten more use out of it when riding home from soccer games at night than for bad weather, but I'm prepared for either one!
