There's a Boat Dat's Leavin' Soon for New York

Well, it's actually a plane, and it will be leaving Chicago on Thursday, October 11 (and returning on Monday).

I would love to get together with my New York friends! My plans are almost completely fluid. I am going to see Lucia di Lammermoor at the Met on Saturday night, but other than that I am free as a bird!

On my to-do list: Rembrandt at the MMA, Van Gogh at the Morgan, Piranesi at the Cooper-Hewitt. What else is on that I should do?

(I'm staying on the Upper West Side, but am happy to wander about the boroughs!)

Most definitely! I amuse myself: from a complete Luddite as regards digital cameras, I have been converted to a devotée, taking my camera pretty much everywhere!
