Lake Michigan was in a winter mood this morning, the water a roiling greeny-grey. There were whitecaps as far as you could see, and the waves were crashing on the breakwaters, throwing spray high up in the air. A narrow strip of light behind the clouds ran just above the horizon, and above that the sky was filled with dense grey clouds. Yes, we're expecting snow.

Last I heard, it was "rain possibly changing to snow with slushy accumulations of an inch or two" today, maybe some light snow tonight. But Skilling has been known to be wrong . . .
Bring a warm coat, though. 20's tonight, low 30's tomorrow.

My father has been calling me every few hours with an update on the "possible snowfall". Last he said, they were thinking 1-3 inches in the SW 'burbs. /shrug.
I'm excited. I can't wait to be home.
