Bad news, good news

Bad: Like everyone else, 2008 was not a good year for me financially. My investments got creamed.

Good: I have just had a call from my accountant. As a result of "Bad" (above), I am getting one heckuva refund.

Us too. Investments in the crapper (and we ARE diverisified) but, this year, we are actually getting a refund :) Doesn't begin to make up for what we lost though. Still, it's a pleasant change.
