Oct. 28th, 2004 06:54 pmOne more Christmas present down. I had to go to the Art Institute to pick up a book (this is legit! I'm taking a class! Honest!), and while browsing (okay, okay, shut up) I found a book about Anselm Kiefer at 25% off. It's a reproduction of his artist's book, The Heavenly Palaces: Merkabah. Reduced as shopworn, which means there was a small tear in the dust jacket, nothing that an inch of mending tissue couldn't take care of. My older sister is nuts about Anselm Kiefer, so that's her present.
And I treated myself to a pop-up book about Frank Lloyd Wright, in addition to the book on Japanese theatre for my class. I was actually fairly well-behaved; I was tempted by a couple of other books, but did not fall.
