Dec. 1st, 2004 09:58 pmWoke up this morning to the sound of one of my neighbors scraping ice off his car. It snowed last night, but nothing stuck, except on the cars. I, on the other hand, took the bus to work today.
After work, I went to the MAD Ball (benefit for the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, hence "MAD"). "Ball" is really a misnomer; it was a concert by Michael Feinstein, preceded by drinks and hors d'œuvres and followed by a dessert bar. The food was awesome, there were dancers from several of the companies that use the theater performing on the various levels, and Feinstein is, of course, a consummate entertainer. So it was a fun evening. Though from the benefit's point of view, it could have been better. They sold so few tickets that even us peons who bought Upper Balcony seats ended up on the main floor. Nice for me, not so great for their bottom line.
