1.)) When you walk in your front door, which room do you enter?
The front door of my apartment opens into a foyer. The living room is to the left, my bedroom is straight ahead, and there's a hallway off to the right.
2.)) Do you have a dishwasher?
Yes.
3.)) Is your living room carpeted or does it have hardwood floors?
Hardwood.
4.) Do you keep your kitchen knives on the counter or in a drawer?
Both. Smaller knives are in a lazy susan style utensil rack on my counter. Larger knives are in a drawer.
5.)) House, apartment, duplex or trailer?
Condo. A three-story, six-unit buiding. (See my userpic!)
6.)) How many bedrooms is it?
Technically? Three. (If we define "bedroom" as a room with a closet). Used as a bedroom? One. The other two are my study, and a spare room which is occasionally used as a guest room.
7.)) Gas stove or electric?
Gas.
8.) Do you have a yard?
No.
9.)) What size TV is in the living room?
13"? 15"? Not sure.
10.)) Are your plates in the same cupboard as your cups?
Hmm. My dragonfly dinnerware, yes. My plain white dinnerware, no. My grandmother's dinnerware, no.
11.) Is there a coffee maker sitting on your kitchen counter?
No. It's in a drawer. It's never used except when company comes.
12.)) What color is your home painted??
It's yellow brick.
13.)) What room is your computer in?
My study.
14.)) Are there pictures hanging in your living room??
Yes. An Aman-Jean, a Renoir and a Robbe hang on the walls. Leaning against the wall above the mantle are my Whistler, another Robbe, a Redon and an Erté. (Don't get excited - we're talking prints here, not paintings!)
15.)) Are there any themes found in your home??
Lots of Japanese and Japanese-inspired art, particularly in the dining room. And I decorate a lot with fabrics. Then there's the book theme . . .
16.)) What kind of laundry detergent do you use??
Whatever's on sale.
17.)) Do you use dryer sheets??
Yes.
18.)) Do you have any curtains in your home??
No. I have wooden blinds in most of the rooms, wooden shutters in the dining room. There are lovely moldings around the windows that I didn't want to hide.
19.)) What color is your fridge??
White.
20.)) Is your house clean??
Vaguely. Parts are cleaner than others.
21.)) What room is the most neglected??
The guest bath, as it's the least used.
22.)) Are the dishes in your sink/dishwasher clean or dirty?
Dishwasher - clean. Sink - dirty (because I didn't empty the dishwasher, so there's no place to put them!)

Since 1999.

Libertyville, IL, and before that, Highwood, IL. Before that, also Chicago.

No.

Six. One in each bathroom, one each in the spare room, the closet door of my bedroom, the hall closet, and the inside closet door in my study.

Well, I'm at work, so it's not relevant. If I were at my computer at home, I'd see a ceiling fan/light fixture.
