What a lovely trip! I am woefully ignorant about architecture, but have been hooked on Calatrava since they opened the Auditorium he designed in Santa Cruz de Tenerife a few years back now. There is something about his work you can spot immediately, and yet that's not to say that they all look the same. They have this sense of fluidity and light and space. This has to go on my "must see" things when I do my US road trip - sometime in the not-too-distant future!
